Sparkle and Shine!

Hello stamping friends! Here is another great challenge from the sweet ladies over at Stampin Royalty. This week the challenge is to create something with Sparkle and Shine.
Nothing says bling like Gold! I love using it! And with our new Gold Wink of Stella pens it is super easy to get that sparkle and shine on any project.
My flower was watercolored using ink from the lid of the pad and a blender pen. The few outer edge highlights were added with the Wink of Stella and the inner flower is Wink of Stella as well.
It has been so much fun to be a part of the team at Stampin’ Royalty! I have enjoyed my time with them and being a Stampin’ Goddess has been a blast!

SSInk Color Challenge

Happy weekend friends! It is busy here this weekend but I have a card to share with you. I love the color challenges and this week I am playing along with SSInk.
And my card
The paper from the Love Blossoms stack coordinates so well with the colors of this challenge I knew I had to try to use them together.

TGIF Sketch Challenge

Hi crafters! I am excited to be participating in the sketch challenge over at TGIF Challenge! This week, we were given his layout

and this is what I came up with
This card was inspired by a card that Dena Rekow did and when I saw it, I knew I had to try it!
The technique I used for this card was a watercolor wash and I will be teaching it at my monthly technique class on Jan. 23rd. You can RSVP via email or Facebook – I would love to have you. Each class features 2 techniques; One using ink and one using paper. Cost is only $15 and includes 4 cards, envelopes and a 6X6 take home instruction sheet so you can practice what you learn.
The stamp set is the brand new Botanicals for You that is available for FREE when you place a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration. If you would like to place an order you can shop 24/7 at my online store.

Wow…a card

So I have not been stamping in a looonnng time. And actually I’m thinking of changing my blog to a new name that is something a little more realistic. But for now, here is a card I made awhile back.
The colors came from a friend who made some cards with it. I used So Saffron for the base and accent color of Cameo Coral. The image is the retiring hostess set called From the Garden. I’ve always felt challenged when it comes to watercolors but I knew that is the only technique that would work with this image. I colors the image first with the Watercolor Crayons and blended with Gamsol. Then around the edges I used my markers in slightly brighter colors to give it some pop. I finished it off with stickles for Bling and a strip of twill tape and black brads.

I’m not sure anyone is even checking the blog anymore but I’m hoping to get back in the swing of stamping and posting!

Happy Stamping!
