A woodland Christmas

Today’s post is full of good news and cheer! This morning it was announced that the wildly popular Woodland Embossing Folder would be returning to our product line in June!!! I am so very excited about this news. This product was such a hot item that Stampin’ Up! could hardly keep it in stock and I feel that it can be used for all 4 seasons, for almost any occasion and is a great option when needing a masculine card.
When I created this card for this week’s color challenge over at SSInkspiration the news of the return had not yet been announced. What great timing for me to be able to show you this card AND share the good news all in one post!
The challenge for this week is
As soon as I saw them I knew that products I was going to want to use. I love these as Christmas colors but I think they are also very masculine as well!
My project for this challenge

I absolutely love the look of the white trees with the Taupe background and the fussy cut ornaments really stand out against the neutral tones.. I was Facetiming with my BFF in WA State and she was a huge help in my design process because it was after midnight when I was working on this! Thanks friend!

Fab Friday 78 Challenge

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend! The last few days have been so busy, with something going on every night this week. It has been a bit of a challenge getting craft time in but I was happy to have a few free hours this afternoon.
The challenge this week from the fine folks at Fab Friday was this sketch
I love the simplicity of this design. Here is my take on it
I realized this may be the first time I have actually used my brick wall embossing folder. I am doing to have to change that pronto!

A reason for the season

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you are having a great holiday weekend. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and much food was eaten. Friday I did some Black Friday shopping with my favorite teenager and today I had a great day helping people create adorable gift packaging for the holidays.
I have a card to share with you today. This card was created for the SSInk Challenge and it is my first time participating with them. I love the mystery challenge we were given for the week.

My card:

This stamp set is so easy to use and in my opinion has the best sentiments ever! I stamped the outline in the Stazon ink, stamped the flowers with Real Red, the petals with Pear Pizaaz and then blended each of those colors with a blender pen. I love the soft, watercolor look this set has.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to my blog on the right and never miss another post. You can also leave me some blog lovin’ in the form of a comment and let me know what you think of my card.

November D’s Stamping Team USA Christmas

Hello everyone! Welcome to D’s Stapming Team USA Blog Hop! I am so happy to have you here, from either my very best friend Nichole’s blog or if you happen to be starting here.
I am so honored to be a guest hopper again this month.

This month we are sharing some amazing Christmas creations. I love Christmas time and all the crafting fun to be had at this time of year. Today my project is a gift box that I created for our Team Inking Everything Christmas Party – happening right now!! At our team party every year the contents of the package are not as important as the wrap so we all try to go over the top when we can!!

This project was inspired by a box found in Becky Robert’s 12 Days of Christmas 2015. I love 3-D items so much and am always trying to find fun and creative projects to make, CASE and share!
This box measures 5 1/2″ X 2 1/2″ when completed and is perfect for small gifts or treats.
The glimmer paper snowflakes make a wonderful embellishment when attached to the silver cord on both sides with glue dots. I love the detail they add to this project overall.
Now – it’s time for my apology. I was in the crafting zone when I created this project and wasn’t thinking when I grabbed my favorite snowflake set to add a little design to the Designer Series Paper. Once I was finished I realized that it is a set that is no longer available for sale directly through Stampin’ Up! I am so sorry to do that to you guys! Please forgive my blogging faux pas!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! It’s time to hop on over to Tina’s blog and she was she has for us. I would love to know what you think of my project, so please me some blog love in the comments!

ICS Blog Hop – Giving Thanks

It’s the first Wednesday in November and that means another ICS Blog Hop. This month we are giving thanks – and I have so much to be thankful for! I love thinking about gratitude, and how it makes me appreciate what I have in my life.
My card this month was featured at my technique class in October and I thought it was so fitting for this fall theme. I absolutly love the color blocking look and the frame looking out onto the fall scene is adorable!
I used the white shimmer paper for the scene and I wish that you could see it better. It almost looks like frost! This card may look difficult but it was so quick and easy once the block frame was created. I think this technique can be used for any card – I hope you will try it sometime.
Now, it’s time to hop on over to Darla and her sisters blog to see what wonderful projects they have for us this month.
Please let me know you were here by leaving me a comment and remember that you can subscribe to the blog and never miss another post.

Gifts for Teachers

Happy November everyone! I love this month so much. Fall leaves, pumpkin everything, Thanksgiving and Giving Thanks.
Today’s post is one that I had meant to share a few weeks ago, and somehow it got missed. It is still fall related because we just started a new homeschool co-op this fall. I always love to give the other moms who teach my kids little treats throughout the year and this is what we started off with.
This project was inspired by a tutorial my upline created and as soon as I saw the little clipboards, I knew I had to make some of them. Are they not the cutest thing ever!!!
I packaged these back to back in a little cello bag and tied the top with some retired ribbon (oops! It was the only one I had that matched)
Thanks for stopping my today. I would love to know what you think of the project – leave me a comment! You can subscribe to the blog and never miss another post.
Have a great Monday!

ICS Blog Hop Fall for All

Welcome back hoppers for another month of ideas and inspiration. If you have arrived from Deb’s Blog, I am so glad you stopped by. Wasn’t her project just awesome! If this is your first stop on the hop – Welcome! Just follow the links at the end of each post so you are sure to not miss a thing!
This month we are all focusing on fall. While fall is not my favorite season, I do love the gorgeous colors of the trees, all things pumpkin and the Thanksgiving holiday.
I also love this fall themed Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog. It made creating this card so quick and easy. Lots of layers really help the texture and then the fussy cut leaves and acorn were the finishing touches. I wanted the paper to be the star of the show so this card is actually embellishment free – not something I usually do.
Be sure to check back on Friday for the coordinating projects that I did with this card. They are so much fun and you won’t want to miss them!
Now, it’s time to hop on over to Tina’s Blog and see what she has in store for us. Please leave me some love in the form of a comment and let me know what you think of my card. I would love for you to subscribe to my blog and never miss a post!

More About BCRF

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world’s most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $550 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year BCRF has invested $58.6 million in research, to support over 235 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder’s Fund focused on metastasis. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation’s most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an “A+” from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars 13 times since 2002.
