SSInk Color Challenge

Hello stamping friends! It seems that spring is just around the corner. And this week over at SSInk they have a color challenge that is just perfect for the season!

My creation:
I am needing quite a few birthday cards in the next few weeks so I decided have this card do double duty. I love the Flower Patch stamp set and coordinating punch.  It helps making a card quick and easy!
The layout is clean and simple with just a little bling sparkle. I wanted this card to really focus on the colors.

ICS Blog Hop Welcome Spring!

Welcome hoppers to another month of Inspire, Create, Share! We are so glad you are here!

This month we are celebrating all things Spring! And who doesn’t love this season. New beginnings, new life, and fresh starts! For my project this month I wanted to make something fun and fresh, and a light hearted way to celebrate Easter.
This card and project are great for sharing the message of Easter in a fun way! The large egg could be seen as an egg, or as the rock that covered the door of the tomb of Jesus.

This adorable bakers box could be filled with treats and given to neighbors, friends, teachers or even your church staff!
Thank you so much for hopping with us today! Now it’s time to see what Tina has in store for us.

An Inspiration Challenge for you!

Happy Hump Day crafters and welcome to the inspiration challenge for the month over at Stampin Royalty. Today we are making projects that are inspired by this:
And here is my project:
I love the inspiration for this month’s challenge. I would never have put these together but they work so well! I decided I wanted to do something a little different, and used the mini treat bag as the outer part of my card. I am in total love over these colors. They are stunning and actually quite fantastic for Valentine’s Day next week.
For the inside of the card I did a postcard style insert with a little stamping to tie the two parts together.
I love all of the sparkle and bling that this week’s challenge had for us. I think sometimes we feel like we need to save those products for “special” occasions or projects when really we should use them all of the time!

Fresh colors for Spring

Hello again from sunny Boise! The weather this week is almost spring like and it has been so nice! Yard work is happening all around us and I think the trees and flowers are going to be easily tricked if this keeps up. This weather makes the challenge from Stampin’ Royalty super easy for me!
And here is my card:

These colors remind me of some yummy ice cream but the soft new shoots of green leaves and cherry blossoms were also coming to mind. I decided to go that way this week with my card. Sheltering Tree is such a great set and I do not use it enough. I love the versatility it offers. the small little pink flowers under the hearts hint at the beauty that is coming soon when the tree is in full bloom. The hill of light green grass is so inviting, isn’t it! Maybe grab a book and a blanket and settle in for the afternoon.

The supplies needed to create this project would easily earn you a 1-2 FREE stamp sets or embellishments during our amazing Sale-A-Bration promotion. If you would like more information about that, just leave me a comment here, send me an email or you can shop 24/7 at my online store.

I love flowers!!

Spring is here and I just love the flowers that bloom this time of year. There are so many varieties and colors I just wish I could have them all in my garden.

This is a card I made for VSN last week. The challenge was to use as many flowers as possible. Since I am a pretty simple gal who makes pretty simple card this was my design.

The base of the card is Pretty in Pink and the paper is LilyKate by Basic Grey. Isn’t it wonderful! It was a gift to me and I just LOVE it. The girl image is an Elzybell sent to my by the very wonderful, amazing Jody Morrow. She has always been one of my favorite designers and a huge inspiration. The image is colored with regular SU! markers and mounted on a pink scallop. Because I did not want to distract from the image or paper I used only a small pink grosgrain ribbon as an accent. The card is finished off with a layer of Primas I got through one of Jody’s “famous” Prima Shares, and a pink jewel brad. This card is smaller than most I make measuring 4.25 X 4.25.

Thank you so much for coming by. I hope you find some inspiration here today.
Happy Stamping!
Jen
