Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was so busy but I am happy to say that we did manage to get the Christmas decor down from the rafters and the tree is up. Great progress!!
Today I am participating in the TGIF Challenge
. This week was a color challenge
And here is my design
The Sleigh Ride stamps and coordinating edgelits are my favorite product out of the soon-to-retire Holiday Catalog so I want to use the heck out of them!!
These coordinating products make crafting so quick and easy. A few cutouts using the big shot, a stamp or two and a little bling and you have a beautiful card. I especially love these colors together, don’t you?
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! You can subscribe to my blog on the right and never miss another post. I love blog love in the form of a comment, so please let me know what you think of this project!
Welcome back hoppers for another month of ideas and inspiration. If you have arrived from Deb’s Blog
, I am so glad you stopped by. Wasn’t her project just awesome! If this is your first stop on the hop – Welcome! Just follow the links at the end of each post so you are sure to not miss a thing!
This month we are all focusing on fall. While fall is not my favorite season, I do love the gorgeous colors of the trees, all things pumpkin and the Thanksgiving holiday.
I also love this fall themed Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog. It made creating this card so quick and easy. Lots of layers really help the texture and then the fussy cut leaves and acorn were the finishing touches. I wanted the paper to be the star of the show so this card is actually embellishment free – not something I usually do.
Be sure to check back on Friday for the coordinating projects that I did with this card. They are so much fun and you won’t want to miss them!
Now, it’s time to hop on over to Tina’s Blog and see what she has in store for us. Please leave me some love in the form of a comment and let me know what you think of my card. I would love for you to subscribe to my blog and never miss a post!
You can find the list of supplies below and they can all be purchased on my website! Each order will include a hand stamped card from me!
To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re going PINK . . . or at least our October boxes are! And because we know our subscribers want to share the love too, we will be making a donation on their behalf to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
Stampin’ Up! will donate
- $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin subscriber.
- Plus, an additional $1 for every new subscriber.
Together, we will make a difference!
Here’s how you can help:
- Subscribe! If you’re new to Paper Pumpkin, click here to get started. Your first kit will arrive in a limited-edition pink box that you’ll want to hold onto forever-and we’ll donate $2 because you’re new!
- Stay active if you’re a subscriber so we can donate $1 for you. Only those who receive the October shipment will be counted for the donation.
- Spread the word! Help us get as many new subscribers as possible. Every current subscriber adds $1 and for new subscribers it’s doubled, so let’s get the word out and raise as much as possible.
More About BCRF
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world’s most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $550 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year BCRF has invested $58.6 million in research, to support over 235 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder’s Fund focused on metastasis. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation’s most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an “A+” from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars 13 times since 2002. For more information, please visit: www.bcrfcure.org.

- All funds will be donated in US dollars.
- Mini spoiler alert! The October project inside the pink box is just as awesome as always, but we should probably let you know that it is not a pink project. That’s all we’re saying. 😉

I cannot believe how fast the time flies! Here it is, another monthly Inspire, Create, Share blog hop. Welcome to those who have arrived here from Tina’s Blog! For everyone else you can start here and travel in the full circut around to all the other bloggers in our hop.
This month’s theme is black and white, with a pop of color if you choose! This card was inspired by a card that I created for our ICS Blog Hop Swap at the Inspire, Create, Share 2014 Convention. Here is our group photo, taken the last day of Convention. It was an amazing experience to be there in Salt lake with 4,000 other demonstrators and I am already planning next years trip. I would love to have you join my team and we can enjoy it together!
So, now for my card! I wanted to give the original design a little tweaking and add a small pop of color so here is what I came up with~
The card base is white, which is hard to see in this photo because of the backdrop. I used the Large Polka Dot embossing folder (#133739) on 2/3rd of the top white layer and stamped the sentiment which comes from the set Trust God (#132094/126702) right above on the non embossed portion. The flowers were stamped in Basic Black from the Petite Petals set (#133152/133155) and the 3 lower flowers were popped up with Dimensionals (#104430). The final pop of color is the Lost Lagoon Stitched Stain Ribbon (#133672) and is a favorite of mine in ANY color!
Next up in our hop is Eva and I am sure you will adore her card as well. I LOVE to hear from those you stop by so please leave me a comment!
Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin’!
