Inking Everything Christmas

A few weeks ago, Our amazing leader Becky Roberts hosted our annual Team Christmas party for those of us local to the Boise area. We had so much fun and I wanted to share it with you.
Becky rented Cacica’s Old World Italian Restaurant in The Village for our event. We had the entire place and it was such a cute little restaurant.
These were the adorable centerpieces that were created for the event. Isn’t this tree just darling!! The mini chalkboards were handmade using our fun Stampin’ Up! products.

We always have a gift exchange and card swap at our Christmas event. The gift maximum is only $5 because it is really all about the wrap – Stampin’ Up! wrap!! And some of our team really outdid themselves this year.
First place went to Kozzette Bennet and her amazing tiny treat box advent calendar
Second place went to Sabine Swanson and her amazing creating of mason jar covered in twine, filled with beautiful paper flowers and decor to decorate the jar for every month in the year. It was amazing.
Third place was this fun snowman punch art box created by Cathy Stephenson. She is a punch art master.
This was the gift that I won at the exchange and I just love it. Created by Becky Roberts herself!
After the card and gift swap we were treated to a private lesson in brush lettering by the amazing Sarah Foutz of Sarah Pearl Studios.
We each got our very own packet of toys, personalized and packaged in the Home for the Holidays Designer Series Paper.
Our own pack of pens to use and take home,
and a custom created practice guide.
Sarah focused on learning how to letter envelopes in a creative way since we make and send or give out so many card. I had no idea there were so many ways to do that!

We were given time to practice our light upstrokes, our heavy downstrokes, our curves and our loops. All of the things make up the letters that Sarah uses for her creations.
We were able to practice each of the stokes with each of the pens. It was so interesting how each one was different.
We were given the tips of the trade and we had such a great time! I have continued to practice my lettering and I will say that I should keep at it. I am so thankful to be a part of Becky’s team and we had a great time! It was a very fun evening!
Thanks for stopping by! Be inspired to go create something beautiful!

My project was created for my annual gift packaging class held last weekend. I love to do something Santa related each year.
This year I used the Berry Basket for a quick and super cute project. This could be stuffed with anything from candies, to small gifts or even gift cards. This project is great for a guy or a gal and who doesn’t love Santa!
Thank you so much for stopping by tonight! You can subscribe to my blog on the right and never miss another post. I love blog love in the form of a comment, so please let me know what you think of this project!

A Wintery Card

Happy Monday! I cannot believe it is the last day of November! This month went to fast!
Guess What!?! I was chosen as a Goddess Pick last week at Stampin’ Royalty! I am so honored and excited to be chosen! Thank you SR!
This week’s Stampin’ Royalty Challenge was to create a winter themed card.
The weather here in Idaho is sure feeling like winter and it made doing a winter themed card easy peasy for me.
This photo really does not do the card the justice it deserves. In person the colors blend so much better and the glitter on the trees is so so sparkly.  I took quite a few trying to capture it all, but alas it wasn’t happening for me today!
At first this card was going to be a Christmas card but then I realized that the sentiment was really quite appropriate for the Season of Winter and that made me giggle! I am so goofy sometimes.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to my blog on the right and never miss another post. I love blog love in the form of a comment, so please let me know what you think of this card!

Don’t forget that today is another 24-flash sale and your last day to order amazing products at sale prices!

Halloween Treats

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have an adorable treat holder to share with you today. I don’t normally craft a lot for this holiday but this year the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper was too cute and I knew I wanted to ordert it. I am so excited to give these to some very special kids this weekend.
These cute treat holders are made using the new Pillow Box framelit in the Holiday catalog and I think they are adorable. It is the perfect size to hold a few treats.
The boxes were crafted out of the paper and then decorated with the Home & Hearth window framelit, a punch art ghosts and some small pumpkins as an accent. I think the kids are going to love these!
I hope you are inspired by this fun project! Let me know you were here by leaving me some love in the form of a comment. You can subscribe to the blog and never miss another post!

ICS Blog Hop Fall for All

Welcome back hoppers for another month of ideas and inspiration. If you have arrived from Deb’s Blog, I am so glad you stopped by. Wasn’t her project just awesome! If this is your first stop on the hop – Welcome! Just follow the links at the end of each post so you are sure to not miss a thing!
This month we are all focusing on fall. While fall is not my favorite season, I do love the gorgeous colors of the trees, all things pumpkin and the Thanksgiving holiday.
I also love this fall themed Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog. It made creating this card so quick and easy. Lots of layers really help the texture and then the fussy cut leaves and acorn were the finishing touches. I wanted the paper to be the star of the show so this card is actually embellishment free – not something I usually do.
Be sure to check back on Friday for the coordinating projects that I did with this card. They are so much fun and you won’t want to miss them!
Now, it’s time to hop on over to Tina’s Blog and see what she has in store for us. Please leave me some love in the form of a comment and let me know what you think of my card. I would love for you to subscribe to my blog and never miss a post!

Tic Tac Tutorial

Hello friends! It’s been a busy 1st week of September around these parts. Birthdays, youth outreach events, getting caught up from vacation and then friends in town for the holiday weekend. I hope that things have been going well for you!

In July, I participated in a Treat Swap at Convention in Salt Lake City. My treat holder was an original creation and I have had some requests for directions so today I present to you my very first tutorial!!!! Creating something like a tutorial was very overwhelming for me and I decided I just needed to face my fears and do it. So, without further ado…..
Start with a piece of card stock measuring 4.5″ X 6″
Using your Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score the short side of your card stock at 3/4″ and 3-3/4″
then score the long side of your card stock at 5/8″, 1-3/8″, 3-3/8″ and 4″
Cut some coordinating Designer Series Paper so that you have the following
2 at 2-3/4″ X 1-3/4″
2 at 1/2″ X 1-3/4″
1 at 1/2″ X 2-3/4″
You will also need a piece of coordinating card stock cut to 3/8″ X 2-1/2″ and scored at 1/2″, 3/4″, 1-3/4″ and 2″

Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the designer series paper to the card stock, leaving the top side sections blank. These are folded in and never seen or cut away.
Fold along all score lines and crease using your bone folder.

Using your paper snips, cut on the first and second horizontal score lines from the bottom up to the vertical score line and cut a small V into each to make folding easier. Repeat on the opposite side.
Next, cut away the top two side sections on the score lines on each side of the box.
When you are done, your box should look like this:
Using your Liquid glue you can now assemble the box, fold your handle and attach to the top.
Cut a 5/8″ Velcro circle into quarters

Attach the soft side of the velcro to the lid of your box and fold over to find the proper placement of the rough side. Press firmly to make sure that each half is securely in place.
Voila! Your box is now complete!! Just add Tic Tac’s!

I hope that you love this project as much as I do. If you would like a printable version of the tutorial, click here
I would love to know your thoughts on this so leave me a comment! Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog so that you never miss another post.
Hugs and Happy Stampin’!
