2015 Year in Review

It is hard to believe that another year has gone by. Personally this year was one of growth and change – both at home and in my business. I am so grateful for all that I have learned about myself, my business and look forward to what 2016 will bring. I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the 2015 highlights.
In February I was nominated for the Creative Crew Blog Hop. I loved the blue Lotus Flower card I made for that hop.
March through June I Blog Hopped with the gals at Inspire, Create, Share.
July I showcased my favorite returning bundle, the Butterfly Basics stamp set and matching thinlit.
September brought some consistency to the blog with more regular postings. I loved this card using the Woodland embossing folder and Among the Branches stamp set.
It also brought my very first tutorial, the Tic Tac Box. I hope you didn’t miss that one!
Remember the gorgeous Jingle all the Way card I made? I am going to miss this bundle for sure!
In October we celebrated my 2 year anniversary with being back at Stampin’ Up! and this adorable pumpkin witch.
These cute teacher gifts started out November, and were followed up by challenge cards for Stampin’ Royalty and a card celebrating The Reason for the Season.
As the year was coming to a close the crafting was ramping up! My Santa basket was a huge hit,  I was introduced to the world of hand-lettering at our team Christmas party and challenges continued every week for SSInk including this quick and easy sketch card!
Last but not least was the card that reminded me of ice cream.
Thank you for being a part of my 2015.

Our theme this month is Butterflies! Stampin’ Up! offers us quite a few choices in this area and is one of my most favorite images!
The card I have made for you this month is using the gorgeous stamp set Butterfly Basics and the coordinating Framelit. This is one of the wonderful bundles carried over from our Occasions Catalog and I could not be happier. I just adore this bundle. This card design will work in so many color combinations and with just a change of sentiment, can be used for so many different occasions. Welcome to the June edition of the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop. If you hopped here from Tina’s blog, welcome! And if you are just starting here we are so glad to have you!

This month we are showcasing the brand new 2015-2017 In Colors. In case you haven’t heard of them yet they are Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush (an excellent Seattle Seahawks color by the way!!), Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron.
Now, for my project. I wanted to really focus on the new colors and not distract you with a new image as well so I chose to use an old favorite of mine instead. The lighting in my space wasn’t the greatest when I took this photo so I hope that you can get a good sense of the colors. All of the supplies needed to make this card are listed below and you can shop my store 24/7.

Now, it’s time to hop on over and see what Darla and her sisters have created for this month.

ICS May Blog Hop – Celebrate Dad!

May’s Blog Hop is here! This month for Inspire, Create, Share we are celebrating our father’s! Welcome to those who have hopped here from Tammy’s Blog. I am so glad that you are here!

Making a card that celebrates my dad is sometimes hard. If he were here today, I know that he would love this simple card the honors the One who created us all.

My earthly father is in heaven and I celebrate him being free from sickness and pain and having freedom in Heaven with Jesus!! Loosing him was hard but knowing who he is with and where he is makes a huge difference when I miss him. It’s been 11 years this month since his passing, and while it never gets easier I am more used to him being gone than I used to be. I am also blessed with an amazing father-in-love who has taken me in as family and I love him dearly! I look forward to celebrating with him and my husband next month.

Now, it’s time to hop over and see what Tina has in store for us this month.

ICS Blog Hop – Spring is in the Air

Another month, another blog hop!! Welcome to everyone who has hopped here from Darla and Nancy’s blog. Didn’t you just love their projects.
This time for the ICS Blog Hop spring is in the air.
Are you enjoying our spring items from the Occasions Catalog? I am having so much fun with the Irrisestably Yours DSP. I think this paper is so versatile and can be used on any card for just about any occasion.
My card for today Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black and Whisper White. I love the clean look of a black and white card with just one color. The background was sponged with ink and then wiped clean so that the embossed look comes through. The flower image and sentiment are from the set Painted Blooms and the butterfly was taken from Kinda Eclectic stamp set. A small piece of chevron ribbon and a few pearls finish the card off.
Now, it’s time to hop over to Joni’s blog and see what she has in store for us. Thank you for Hopping by. Please leave me a little love in the comments and be sure to subscribe so that you never miss a post!

You may have arrived here from Olivia’s Blog. Isn’t she so talented? I love her work! Or you may have started here and I want to say welcome to everyone.

I thought this card would be great for Valentines Day and can easily be switched up for your guy using a different background masculine colors. It could also be a great anniversary card or any time!

Finally the hardwood background stamp is one of my favorites because the look is so authentic and is great when needing to make a card for a guy.

ICS Blog Hop Triple Time

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop! This month you are in for a BIG treat!! We have an amazing technique as the theme for our blog hop this month! It is called Triple Time and it is SO MUCH FUN!! Not only that, but it’s quite easy and makes a card that really WOW’s the person receiving it. The amazing and very humble Brian King shared his tutorial HERE which is what I used to create the project below.

Once I was able to wrap my head around how this is technique works, I wanted to make about 6 different projects for the Hop. I knew that was not possible so please be sure to check back and see the other ideas that I created as I worked on learning this technique.
I love this Winter Themed Set called Endless Wishes and the more I am using the Photopolymer stamp sets the more I love them. They are easy to use, they provide a crisp, clean image everytime and I am always able to see where I am stampin!
I am a huge fan of blues and silver for both Christmas and Winter so it was easy to decide what colors to use on this card.  Once I decided the colors, it was quick and easy to stamp, assemble and voila!

Next, take a peek at what Tammy has made for the hop!

Inspire Create Share Blog Hop August 2014

I cannot believe how fast the time flies! Here it is, another monthly Inspire, Create, Share blog hop. Welcome to those who have arrived here from Tina’s Blog! For everyone else you can start here and travel in the full circut around to all the other bloggers in our hop.

This month’s theme is black and white, with a pop of color if you choose! This card was inspired by a card that I created for our ICS Blog Hop Swap at the Inspire, Create, Share 2014 Convention. Here is our group photo, taken the last day of Convention. It was an amazing experience to be there in Salt lake with 4,000 other demonstrators and I am already planning next years trip. I would love to have you join my team and we can enjoy it together!

So, now for my card! I wanted to give the original design a little tweaking and add a small pop of color so here is what I came up with~

The card base is white, which is hard to see in this photo because of the backdrop. I used the Large Polka Dot embossing folder (#133739) on 2/3rd of the top white layer and stamped the sentiment  which comes from the set Trust God (#132094/126702) right above on the non embossed portion. The flowers were stamped in Basic Black from the Petite Petals set (#133152/133155) and the 3 lower flowers were popped up with  Dimensionals (#104430). The final pop of color is the Lost Lagoon Stitched Stain Ribbon (#133672) and is a favorite of mine in ANY color!

Next up in our hop is Eva and I am sure you will adore her card as well. I LOVE to hear from those you stop by so please leave me a comment!

Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin’!

Hugs!

Red, White and Blue!

It’s time for another Inspire, Create and Share Blog Hop! Welcome to my blog in the hop. You may have just arrived here from Joni’s blog. Didn’t you just love her card!!!! This month, in honor of our nation’s birthday AND the new 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up! Catalog our theme is red, white and blue….with something NEW! So, here is my creation!

The inspiration for the card came from other crafty friends on Facebook and I knew that I had to use this idea for this month’s card! The colors I chose were Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White. I used two new sets for this design. The flag image is using stamps from the Work of Art set and the sentiment is the new Watercolor Thank You single stamp. It is very hard to see in this photo but the sentiment is embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder. I love that our regular inks have enough juice to emboss with. To finish this card off I added a few rhinestones in place of the stars.

The list of all hoppers can be found here, in case you got lost along the way!
