ICS Blog Hop Welcome Spring!

Welcome hoppers to another month of Inspire, Create, Share! We are so glad you are here!

This month we are celebrating all things Spring! And who doesn’t love this season. New beginnings, new life, and fresh starts! For my project this month I wanted to make something fun and fresh, and a light hearted way to celebrate Easter.
This card and project are great for sharing the message of Easter in a fun way! The large egg could be seen as an egg, or as the rock that covered the door of the tomb of Jesus.

This adorable bakers box could be filled with treats and given to neighbors, friends, teachers or even your church staff!
Thank you so much for hopping with us today! Now it’s time to see what Tina has in store for us.

Inking Everything Facebook Hop

Happy Monday! Today we are having a Facebook hop with the gals from Inking Everything! I wanted to share details about my card here and then encourage you to head over there and check out the rest of the amazing creations that the ladies have made.

For our hop we made a card and a coordinating project. First I want to show you my card.

With Valentine’s Day coming I thought it would be great to get a head start on the holiday! The stamp set featured is the Bloomin’ Love set and the gorgeous paper is from the coordinating stack called Love Blossoms. I used our newish whisper white card stock and it is amazing! What a sturdy base it created!

Next I created a coordinating box to hold a yummy treat!
This box is the perfect size for a little treat to give to someone special. I love how quick and easy it is to decorate for any occasion. The honeycombs are the perfect size for this project. Isn’t it just adorable!

My project was created for my annual gift packaging class held last weekend. I love to do something Santa related each year.
This year I used the Berry Basket for a quick and super cute project. This could be stuffed with anything from candies, to small gifts or even gift cards. This project is great for a guy or a gal and who doesn’t love Santa!

Halloween Treats

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have an adorable treat holder to share with you today. I don’t normally craft a lot for this holiday but this year the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper was too cute and I knew I wanted to ordert it. I am so excited to give these to some very special kids this weekend.
These cute treat holders are made using the new Pillow Box framelit in the Holiday catalog and I think they are adorable. It is the perfect size to hold a few treats.
The boxes were crafted out of the paper and then decorated with the Home & Hearth window framelit, a punch art ghosts and some small pumpkins as an accent. I think the kids are going to love these!
I hope you are inspired by this fun project! Let me know you were here by leaving me some love in the form of a comment. You can subscribe to the blog and never miss another post!

Tic Tac Tutorial

Hello friends! It’s been a busy 1st week of September around these parts. Birthdays, youth outreach events, getting caught up from vacation and then friends in town for the holiday weekend. I hope that things have been going well for you!

In July, I participated in a Treat Swap at Convention in Salt Lake City. My treat holder was an original creation and I have had some requests for directions so today I present to you my very first tutorial!!!! Creating something like a tutorial was very overwhelming for me and I decided I just needed to face my fears and do it. So, without further ado…..
Start with a piece of card stock measuring 4.5″ X 6″
Using your Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score the short side of your card stock at 3/4″ and 3-3/4″
then score the long side of your card stock at 5/8″, 1-3/8″, 3-3/8″ and 4″
Cut some coordinating Designer Series Paper so that you have the following
2 at 2-3/4″ X 1-3/4″
2 at 1/2″ X 1-3/4″
1 at 1/2″ X 2-3/4″
You will also need a piece of coordinating card stock cut to 3/8″ X 2-1/2″ and scored at 1/2″, 3/4″, 1-3/4″ and 2″

Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the designer series paper to the card stock, leaving the top side sections blank. These are folded in and never seen or cut away.
Fold along all score lines and crease using your bone folder.

Using your paper snips, cut on the first and second horizontal score lines from the bottom up to the vertical score line and cut a small V into each to make folding easier. Repeat on the opposite side.
Next, cut away the top two side sections on the score lines on each side of the box.
When you are done, your box should look like this:
Using your Liquid glue you can now assemble the box, fold your handle and attach to the top.
Cut a 5/8″ Velcro circle into quarters

Attach the soft side of the velcro to the lid of your box and fold over to find the proper placement of the rough side. Press firmly to make sure that each half is securely in place.
Voila! Your box is now complete!! Just add Tic Tac’s!

I hope that you love this project as much as I do. If you would like a printable version of the tutorial, click here
I would love to know your thoughts on this so leave me a comment! Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog so that you never miss another post.
Hugs and Happy Stampin’!

ICS Blog Hop – Tis The Season

Hello everyone and welcome to the monthly Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!
You may have arrived from Deb’s blog, or are just starting the hop here. Either way I am so glad you are here!

It is amazing how fast the Christmas season came upon us and now we are more than 1/2 way through it. If you are like me, you might be looking for some cute gift packaging ideas.  That is what I have to share with you today. My project was created using the Take Out Boxes, All is Calm DSP, some ribbon, a few tags and some pretty, pretty silver accents.

The  ribbon and tags is designed to slide off the box easily and remain intact and beautiful! The belly band can then be gently removed and the box opened. I love these contemporary colors of blues, greens and silver at Christmas time. I hope you enjoy this project and it inspires you to create unique gift packaging this holiday season.

Now, you get to hop on over to Olivia’s blog and see what she has in store for you. I am sure it is going to be adorable! Thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to leave me a note telling me what you thought of my project and please subscribe to my blog so that you never miss a post!

My Prayer Journal

I’ve been wanting to create my own prayer journal for awhile now but considering the condition of my stamp room until just recently that was not going to happen. Now that it is back in good working order I decided tonight would be a great night to do finally work on that project.

The spiral bound journal I picked up at Michael in the dollar bins. You have got to love that place! I used the SU! Spiral Punch on the left side, it fits just perfect on these. I pulled out some left over Enchante Designer Series paper for the background since it has such a soft, pretty look to it. The cross is stamped in Perfect Plum on Vanilla card stock and then cut out. I mounted that on some Mellow Moss card stock and then cut that out for a small layer. This was a huge task for me since I am scissor challenged! I popped the cross up on some dimensionals and then mounted it on Pale Plum card stock that has been lighted stamped with the flowers from Refuge and Strength in Pale Plum and the edges distressed using the cutter tool. The sentiment was printed out on my computer on Vanilla card stock. It was mounted on Mellow Moss and then Pale Plum. I added a few ribbons to the spiral spine but did not want to over do it. I think it could use a few more but I seem to not have any other ribbons in coordinating colors….how can that be?!
I am looking forward to start using my journal during my evening devotional time. I like to read My Daily Bread and talk with God each night before I head off to bed. I’m not a morning person and so I really enjoy ending my day this way.

Thanks for coming by. Happy Stamping!

A Little Clip

I was gifted with this Jumbo Paper Clip some time ago and it’s just been sitting waiting for some love. Tonight I found some inspiration on SCS and Mrs Boaz and decided to finally do something with it. I basically CASE’d her design. On my version I decided to emboss the apple with embossing powder and DD Glitter. I will use this for A’s 1st grade teacher gift, which I am working on so it’s ready for the 1st day of school.

The image is from the set Tart and Tangy, and I’m so happy to see it in the NEW SU! catalog which begins tomorrow…..(well, in about 12 minutes actually!) I think I might add some ribbon to it as well, but for now I’m happy with it!

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stamping!
