Salsa – Part 2

I won’t bore you with part one because it wasn’t anything special but this second try turned out much better. This recipe made way more than my family will eat on our own so I’ve been sharing it with neighbors.

4 C fresh tomatoes
6 cloves fresh garlic
1/2 medium white onion
1/2 green pepper
1/3 bunch cilantro
1 full can diced jalapenos
1/2 tsp salt
3 T lime juice
1 tsp Tabasco Sauce
1 T cumin
3 T red wine

Dice up the tomatoes, onions, garlic, green pepper and cilantro. Add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix together. Refrigerate for at least 1 hours to let the flavors blend.

Of course if you like more spice feel free to use a different kind of pepper or add more tabasco.

I hope this inspires you to try making your own homemade salsa. We eat a lot of it here and it’s nice to eat something that you know exactly what is in it. My next adventure in salsa – black bean and corn. I’ll be sure to share that once it’s done.

Happy Cooking!
